Community Groups Sign Ups

There will be about 13 group this year meeting in various homes throughout the city every week for bible study, prayer and fellowship. All of the groups will be going through the study Gospel in Life: Grace Changes Everything.

Groups will begin meeting the week of September 12th. You have to sign up for a group to participate in one so that we can regulate the size of each group.

Leaders and Hosts your orientation is on Sunday September 12th from 6-8. Dinner and childcare will be provided. It will be at 521 S. Downing St.

Strategic Plan

Here is the strategic plan that the pastoral staff and the consistory will be working on for the next several months.

City Pres Kid’s Club

If you have a child who will be entering 1st through 4th grade this Fall, we are happy to announce that Kids’ Club is here! The children will come to the front and be blessed by the congregation before leaving for their class. They will return before communion along with the younger children.

Mom’s Group Meets Twice a Month

The City Pres Mom’s Group meets regularly on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month. The group is hosted by Lauren McMonagle, at her home in Wash Park. They meet from 9:30-11:30 for a book discussion. This semester, our discussions will be based on the feminine perspective from the Women of Faith Study Bible in conjunction with the church’s “The Bible in 90 Days” program. It will not be necessary to purchase the Women of Faith Study Bible. Childcare is provided by the church for older babies and toddlers in the basement. The little babies usually stay upstairs with their moms. If you are interested in attending or have any questions, please e-mail Lauren.

City Pres Meal Brigade

Please contact Lauren McMonagle if you are interested in occasionally providing a meal for families from the church in need who have had a baby, are dealing with illness, or have lost a family member.
