Men’s Ministry

The Men’s Ministry exists to help connect the men of City Presbyterian into a supportive network for encouragement, fellowship, teaching and accountability to pursue with excellence their roles at work, at home and in society.

There are many ways for men to become involved…

Our weekly community groups are not gender specific, but provide a good opportunity for men to make friends and study the Bible with others. For more information, see the ‘community groups’ section or call the church office.

Men, like women, also serve by contributing to various outreach projects; leading community groups; teaching our children on Sundays; and participating in multiple aspects of our worship service.

For more information, contact Michael Ehrenfried.

Women’s Ministry

We encourage all of the women of City Presbyterian to pursue, discover and use their interests and talents to serve the church family and the community of Denver in a variety of ways. We also seek to create an environment where women feel comfortable being themselves, not to be a place where anyone feels pressure to pretend that she ‘has it all together.’

City Presbyterian is a safe place to ask difficult questions, build meaningful friendships, and learn what it means to become a mature follower of Christ.

A group of City Pres Moms meets for encouragement, discussion, prayer and play. The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at Lauren McMonagle’s house to discuss the book The Myth of the Perfect Mother: Rethinking the Spirituality of Women, by Carla Barnhill. Childcare is provided by the church for older babies and toddlers in the basement. The little babies usually stay upstairs with their moms. If you are a mom and would like to be added to the email list, please contact Lauren.

Children’s Ministry

“When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.’ And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.” Mark 10:14, 16

The Children’s Ministry of City Presbyterian exists to glorify God by caring for the children of our community and guiding them into relationships with God. We seek to reinforce the biblical truths that parents are teaching at home, and to give children the opportunity to benefit from relationships with other children and adults in our congregation.

Children’s Ministry is not about controlling, babysitting, or entertaining kids on Sunday morning, it is about teaching children to be followers of Christ and in so doing, making an investment in the Kingdom for eternity. Ultimately, we want to see these little ones walking with God as mature Christians ten, twenty, fifty years from now.

Children of all ages are always welcome to worship alongside their parents on Sunday mornings. We also have a staffed nursery for infants and toddlers during both worship services. Children’s Church is an age appropriate worship time for preschoolers during the sermon portion of the service.

Sunday School classes for all ages (toddler through senior high) meet from 10-10:45 a.m. during the school year. Childcare for infants is provided during this time as well.
